Garrison Urette, CFA

EXPERIENCE

Garrison Urette has over 30 years of experience in the finance industry. His past experience in financial services includes managing/analyzing over $900 million in fixed income portfolios for Dwight Asset Management. In addition to managing portfolios at Dwight, he also managed financial portfolios at Merrill Lynch in Atlanta. Garrison Urette’s experience also extends into the banking industry where he served at Florida Federal Savings & Loan and SunTrust. Similarly, he has international experience serving as the President of the National Development Bank of the Republic of Palau.

BACKGROUND

Garrison Urette holds a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Methods of Business from the University of Florida, Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tampa and is a CFA® Charterholder. Also, his work has been published in the professional journal Monograph and quoted in the Handbook of Fixed Income Securities by Frank J. Fabozzi. He held both the Series 7 and 66 designations and, is a member of the Tampa Bay CFA Society.

PERSONAL

On a personal side, The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center and Producers Group have both benefited from Garrison Urette serving on the Board of Directors. He was in the Leadership Tampa Class of 2010 and is actively involved in Make-A-Wish, the Audubon Society and Tampa Theater. He was also a three time Masters National Champion in Olympic Sprint Kayaks.
